DO I HAVE TO "DRESS UP"?
The Cicada Club has a dress code enforced by Mr. Smith our practically perfect doorman. Men: coat and tie. No jeans, tee-shirts, zippered jackets, sweaters or athletic shoes. Ladies: cocktail dress, skirt or pant suit with matching jacket. Many of our patrons enjoy dressing in early 20th century vintage (1920s through 1950s) or contemporary evening attire (black tie and evening gowns). Do you want to be the only one at the club who is not properly dressed? At a minimum jacket and tie for men, dresses for ladies, please.

WHERE CAN I FIND VINTAGE CLOTHING?
The Cicada Club recommends Valentino's Costumes, offering a fabulous selection of rental attire from the 1920s to the 1950s. Special Cicada Club discount coupon available here. If you wish to purchase your elegant attire, we suggest Revamp Vintage Clothing.

DO I NEED TO BRING A DANCE PARTNER?
No partner required. Our guests are very friendly.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DANCE?
Do not fret! Many of our guests are experienced dancers and would be delighted to take you for a whirl on the floor and perhaps even show you a few steps. All you need to do is ask! Need lessons? We recommend Rusty Frank, not only does she often appear in our floor shows, but she's a swell dance teacher!

WHAT IS THE CORRECT PRONOUNCIATION OF "CICADA"?
Lot's of folks are confused on how to pronounce CICADA. It's easy: see-KAY-duh.

LISTEN TO "CICADA" PROUNCED CORRECTLY!

IS THE OVIATT BUILDING HAUNTED?
